We are so sorry for the loss of Tom. We always loved seeing him and speaking with him when he was on route. He is missed.

Tom I am so very sorry for your loss.I know how much your father meant to you.You have so many great memories of your father to pass on.I know he was a wonderful father just by how much you would talk about him and your trips to visit with him.Please take care,all is well with your father.

I remember being with Tom n Helen (my sister) at the doctor's office when he received the news of "cancer".  He said, "wow" and we cried together in a circle.  He vowed to beat it and made it the most valiant of all his fights. 

I was also with my brother when he gave his last breath. A tough time for us all. 

Keep your family and friends close. Call them, stop by and say hello. 

His laugh will live forever in our hearts

How do I talk about someone who meant so much to my famly.  This is going to be so hard.

I considered Tommy a family member.  He was a family friend for about 30 years.  My daughter Angie loved him like a father.

I remember in the early 90's he helped Joe put a new roof on our house while I was laid up on the couch with wires in my foot from surgery.  I had a walkie talkie connecting me with Joe and Tommy on the roof in case I needed anything.

We moved into this house 20 months ago and when Tommy first came to see the new place, he offered to take a "couple of weeks off work" to come help us fix it up.

That was Tommy.  Caring, thoughtful, always eager to help.  He was a true friend and I will miss seeing him come to visit several times a year.  Those were special times when he was in our home.

My husband, Joe isn't very computer saavy, so I will say for him that he considered Tom "a brother from another mother".  They got together every chance they could.  They would hunt together a few times a year and game with "the guys" every chance they got.  Tommy moving out of the area didn't stop them.  

We prayed hard ever since learning he was sick that God would heal him.  I guess God needed him more.

He will be missed by my whole family very much.

I have been a friend of Tom Crossley for some 30 years. I knew him when he was a young man, single dad with two boys. Now those boys are young men who can look at me directly in the eyes. Time does fly.

For those that don't know Tom well, he was raised in a military family. Tom loved both of his parents and had a good upbringing. He was patriotic, a family man, a citizen, a spiritual man, and sometimes a bit of a rebel in him. 

One of the things that I loved about Tom is that he loved history just like me. He loved wargaming history, fictional or historical, from books to videos. In fact it was the same love of history in how I first met Tom. Both of us join a Medieval reenactment organization to recreate living history in a way.

Of which this reminds me of a game from the past that was played within our medieval group. Back in the 80's there was a role playing game at the time called Killer where you would play as an assassin.  You would be assigned a name from the medieval group to take out the opponent for a prize and glory. 

Usually you would use something like a toy dart gun as your weapon. However for our medieval group, instead of a toy dart gun, we used padded arrows with a bow, or a padded dagger.

Well Tom was one to play the game and was hunted one medieval event weekend. The bad part of being hunted is that the attack could happen any time of the day. And with Tom, it did happen at his most vulnerable time. 

Tom had to use the necessary after a drinking. While standing by a tree, a padded arrow whistle out of the dark and caught Tom in the chest. He scream loudly from being surprised. I heard Tom from across the camp after being hit by the arrow. He was so mad for being out of the game, more so being caught in a vulnerable position.

Tom  loved his sons very much. He was there for them as much as possible. As with all parents, he didn't want his kids to make the same mistakes that he did. But even if they did, he was there with them to help them pick up the pieces. 

I have seen many trials and tribulations of Tom Crossley. And rejoiced in seeing him every time in person. There are few people I could say the same. I shall miss my friend.
