William Douglas "Doug" Wells Sr.

He was born June 10, 1942 in Bristol, TN to the late Florence Olivia Black Wells. Mr. Wells was worked for Drexel Furniture for over 20 years and was a member of Community Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He loved his church.

Left behind to cherish Mr. Wells’ memory are his wife of 38 years, Mary Conley Wells of the home; one son, William Douglas Wells, Jr. and wife, Lauren of Bristol, TN; two daughters, Lashonda Olivia Wells of Marion and Cisily Ann Wells Murray and husband, Cornelius of Rutherfordton, NC; four grandchildren, Darius Wells, Vegas Wells, Esiyon Wells and Solemn Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 Addies Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Luther Gamble and Dr. Carl Manuel officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
