

Betty Jean Pursifull, 82 of Warren and formerly of Markle passed away at 8:25 am on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital. Betty was a 1949 graduate of East Rockcreek High School. She had worked at Memcor for 26 years. She was a member of the TurnPointe Community Brethren Church. She was an avid reader, loved gardening and loved her grandchildren. Betty was a wonderful cook; she loved to fish and loved her cat.
Betty was born on August 25, 1931 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Carl E. and Laura E. (Price) Carney.
She was united in marriage to Loyal K. Pursifull on February 14, 1950 in Markle. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two sons: Patrick K.(Vonell) Pursifull of Ossian; Michael K. (Debra Pursifull of Ossian; three daughters: Tonya (Shawn) Hainzelsperger of Halles Corner, Wisconsin; Barbara (Rod) Conwell of Huntington; Carla Devlin of Daytona Beach, Florida; a brother: David Carney of New Haven; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Amber Pursifull and a son-in-law Peter Devlin.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 23, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, located at 415 N. Lee Street, Markle Indiana 46770.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at the TurnPointe Community Church located at 500 W. Logan Street Markle Indiana, 46770.
Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made out to TurnPointe Community Church, or to the Markle Fish and Game Club.
