Carl Golden

Carl L. Golden, 73 of Markle passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital. Carl was a graduate of Sarasota High School. He served in the United States Navy for 10 years. He was a life member of the VFW Post 6671 and was a member of the Zanesville United Methodist Church.

Carl was born on May 13, 1940 in Huntington, the son of Claude and Zelma (Hoover) Golden.

He was united in marriage to Lois Fritz on November 25, 1967 at the Zanesville United Methodist Church. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son: David (Kathy) Golden of Zanesville; a daughter: Vicky Torson of Ossian; three sisters: Donna McDonald of Chicago; Carolyn (Howard) Gilliam of Fort Wayne; Linda Golden of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren: Colyn Torson, Caleb Torson, Conner Torson, Luke Golden and Mark Golden and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.

Interment will be at the Hoverstock Cemetery.
