Christopher Thomas "Brownie" Brown

Christopher Thomas “Brownie” Brown, 35 of Markle passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at his residence. Chris was a 2003 graduate of Huntington North High School. He worked at Advanced Assembly of Columbia City and was a member of the U.A.W. Chris “Brownie” was a unique and loving soul that never met a stranger. He always appreciated and respected everyone as they were. He was a loving devoted father to his daughter, Journey who was the light of his life. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and always seemed to make you smile even on the worst day. He was an avid drummer, gamer, philosopher, nature lover and a strong believer in one love. His family and friends will miss his smile and laughter that was contagious. Chris was born on December 17, 1984 in Anderson, Indiana. The son of Thomas and Leanne (Mattucci) Brown. Survivors include his mother and stepfather: Leanne and Darrell Arney of Markle; his father: Thomas Brown of Muncie; a brother: Travis (Nikki) Brown of South Carolina; two sisters: Mary (Michael) Mattucci of Markle; Ashley (Geoff) Davis of Huntington; the center of his life his daughter: Journey Brown and her mother and her brother: Lee Bruce and Jordan of Huntington; Grandfather: Lowell (Ruth Lephart) Brown of Muncie; several aunts, uncles, a niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandmothers and a grandfather: Mary Ann and Joseph Mattucci and Linda Brown. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at 5:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made out to Leanne Arney for his daughter Journey’s future in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
