Robert & Linda Hensley

The Family of Bob and Linda Hensley would like you to know that within a period of 30 days their lives on earth were finished, and that they have received the promise of heaven that they had been looking forward to. Linda passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 and Bob followed her on Monday, September 7, 2020. Linda Jo Hensley was born on June 4, 1944 in Huntington Indiana. Robert Leslie Hensley was born on October 16, 1945 in Geneva Village, Ohio. Bob and Linda lived in the Markle area for most of their married life and spent their last two years living near family in Bloomington Indiana. There are unforgettable moments in life when things seem to slow down in honor of a milestone. For their friends and family, the passing of Bob and Linda is one of those moments. Bob was known for his passion for sports, especially for the Chicago Cubs, the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns, and the Indiana Hoosiers. He was a hard worker and loved his children and grandchildren deeply. Linda was known for her sweet spirit and her deep faith. She was a member of Markle Church of Christ for76 years. Linda loved gospel music, her church community, and her family. Linda was proceeded in death by her Parents Mary and Lloyd Overholt. Bob was proceeded in death by his parents Hurley and Pauline, 3 brothers, and one sister. They are survived by their two daughters: Ronda (Ken) Zook and Risha (John) Mitchell, Linda's brother Dennis (Anne) Overholt and they were deeply proud of their 6 grandchildren. Bob and Linda will be dearly missed. In their honor, there will be a “Gathering of Family and Friends” from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, September 19, 2020 followed by a “Celebration of Life” at 3:00 p.m. to be thankful for their hope and love. All Services will take place at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse St., Markle, IN. Private Burial will take place at the Markle Cemetery at a later time.
