Albert Joseph Alleman, 82, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2018 in Waco, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bremond, Texas with Father Celso Yu officiating.
Albert was born in Little Grand Bayou, Louisiana in February 6, 1936 to Christopher and Rose Alleman. Christopher and Rose raised a close-knit family which included Walter, Delta, Dalbals, Wilson Sr., Violet and Albert. During his childhood, Albert attended St. Elizabeth Catholic School, Belle Rose, and Napoleonville Elementary, all located within the bayous of Louisiana. As a young man at 16, Albert moved to Houston, Texas with his sister, Violet Padgett. Just one year, later he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, dutifully serving four years as a United States Sailor. Albert met and married Shirley Mullenax in June of 1961. Albert and Shirley became proud parents of their only child, Jared, in 1969. Later in his life, Albert moved to Kosse, Texas to be closer to his niece Flora Flippin Reigert and her family. Albert brought a new light to the small town of Kosse and was soon proud to call it his home. Albert shared his passion for dance, domino skills, joined many local clubs and made wonderful friends. He was delighted to find St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond. Albert was a deeply religious man who always kept God in his heart.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents; siblings; nephews, Charles and George; niece, Lorraine.
Albert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jared and Sheryl Cook; grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Kayla, Christina, Jeremy, Josh, Caitlyn, Jordan and Carleigh; great-grandchild, Kal; godson and nephew, Wilson Alleman, Jr., nephews, Harold, Ferrell, Christopher and Eddy; nieces, Shirley, Carol, Dora, and Flora; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves behind many great friends and a lovely church family.
