

Emeline Grace Wieting, 88 of Marlin, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Waco. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home with Reverend Lynn Starnes and Reverend Ron Oden officiating. Interment to follow in Perry United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday, March 14, 2022.
Emeline was born on May 6, 1933 to Henry William and Meline (Schreiber) Lessman in Marlin. She was a longtime resident of Marlin. She married the love her life, Nelson Lee Roy Wieting on December 21, 1952; they celebrated 62 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2015. She was a lifetime member of Perry United Methodist Church. Emeline enjoyed gardening, listening to inspirational music and taking care of her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Shelton Grote, brother, Wilburn Lessman, and sister, Minnie Owen.
Survivors include her daughters, Nell Hegefeld and husband, Bill of Marlin, Gail Grote of Riesel; grandchildren: Justin Hegefeld and wife, Carisa of Lowell, Arkansas, Lance Hegefeld and wife, Mary of Pfugerville, Stacy Grote of Riesel, Stephanie Mims and husband, Robert of Katy, Michael Grote of Riesel; great-grandchildren: Jathan Hegefeld of Lowell, Arkansas, Lincoln and Lennon Hegefeld of Pfugerville, Parker Mims of Katy, Emaline and Logan Hargraves and their parents, Robert and Tiffany of Caldwell.
Pallbearers: Michael Grote, Justin Hegefeld, Lance Hegefeld, Abel Barrientos, Robert Hargraves, and James Haug. Honorary Pallbearers: Parker Mims, Jathan Hegefeld, Lincoln Hegefeld, Logan Hargraves and Robert Mims.
Family is requesting memorials be made to the Perry United Methodist Church.
