Howard "Dusty" Shook

Visitation will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Lakeview Primera Iglesia Bautista Church in Marlin with Pastor David Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Dusty was born on March 4, 1950 to CJ and Tessie Shook in Marlin, Texas. He married Diane, the love of his life on June 21, 2004. Mr. Shook loved to go hunting and fishing but his true love was his family; especially his grandchildren. He was a cattle buyer and a great mechanic.

He is survived by his wife: Diane Shook of Otto, children: Shelly Kaluzniak and husband, Don, of Grandview, Lyndsey Maggard and husband, Josh of Waco, Christine Brinkmann of Temple, and E.J. Gonzales and wife, Melissa of Mart, grandchildren: Blake, Nathan, Claudia, Hunter, Piper, Chris, Tyler, Brayden, Matthew, great-grandchildren: Payton, Layla, and Easton, brother: Rusty Shook and his wife, Sally, sister: Nancy Radle and husband, Bobby and sister-in-law: Vickie Shook.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Ross, and grandson: Joshua.

Pallbearers are Brayden, Chris, E.J., Gabriel, Hunter, Max, Nathan and Tyler. Honorary Pallbearers are Ivan and Matthew.
