Mary Belle Coker Vaughan

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 26 at 1pm at Adams Funeral Home with burial to follow at Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25 from 5-7pm at Adams Funeral Home.

Mary Belle was born October 13, 1920 in Ft. Deposit, Alabama to parents Cyrus Coker and Clara Belle (Branch) Coker. She married Durwood Vaughan, Sr. September 4, 1937. Mary Belle was a resident of Marlin for many years and had lived in Houston for the past 50 years. Mary Belle was also a member of Park Place Church of Christ in Houston for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Durwood Vaughan, Sr.; son Durwood Vaughan, Jr.; daughter, Dianne; 3 brothers, Lester, Clyde and Junior. She leaves behind 2 daughters, Gloria McKelroy and husband Brooks, and Linda Eledge and husband Rusty; daughter-in-law Patsy Vaughan; 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren; brother, Jackie Coker and sister, Joann Norris.

Pallbearers will be: Brooks McKelroy, Jr., Jesse Davila, Felix Davila, Charles Ray Jones, Adrian Van Court and Devin Solley. Brooks McKelroy, IV will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
