

Wayne Nehring, Sr., 66, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2015, in Perry, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin with the Reverend Donnie Fulton officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be provided. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, at Adams Funeral Home.
Ronnie was born in Marlin, Texas, on May 27, 1948, to Adolph and Geraldene Maines Nehring. Ronnie graduated from Marlin High School in 1966. Soon after, he moved to Houston to work but returned to Marlin after just three years. Ronnie worked at General Tire for 10 years before buying J & J Drive-In in Marlin. Ronnie loved his farm in Perry where he raised all kinds of animals including chickens, quail, rheas, sheep, goats, cattle, mules, and horses. Ronnie became a Mason in 1986 and a Shriner soon after that. He loved to fish especially with his mother, Geraldene . Ronnie was known as "Pappy" to his grandsons. He kept them both when they where babies and they lit up his life. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronnie is survived by his former wife, Gloria of Perry; his son, Buck Nehring of Perry; his daughter, Jaime Nehring Glenn and husband, Vince, of Riesel; two grandsons, Hunter and Hudson Glenn, of Riesel. He is also survived by his brothers, Mike Nehring and wife, Carol, of Marlin, Jeff Nehring and wife, Tricia, of Perry; and his sister, Kim Nehring Lombardo of Marlin. He is also survived by nieces, Carla, Beth, Annie, Micah, and Holly; and nephews, Ryan and Chad. Ronnie had many cousins and extended family who lived in the Marlin area as well.
