Susana Bravo

Susana Bravo, a beloved, kind-hearted, and devoted individual, passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 24, 1940, in Los Limones, Guerrero, Mexico, Susana was known for her hard-working and brave spirit. She moved to the United States at the age of 15, where she lived the rest of her life, becoming a cherished resident of Marlin, Texas.

Susana married Thomas Bravo on March 23, 1979, in Eagle Pass. They shared a wonderful life together until Thomas passed away on April 3, 2002, at his residence in Marlin, Texas. Susana was a devoted wife, and her loyalty to her family was unwavering.

She had a passion for gardening, always tending to her flower garden with a green thumb. Susana loved cooking and was known for preparing three meals a day on time. Her love for the country and working on the farm with her animals brought her immense joy.

A faintly member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Susana was a thoughtful and loyal community member. Her presence and contributions will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Bravo was preceded in death by her parents; Alcadia Jaimes and Jose Elizalde, brothers; Alberto and Fernando Benitez and husband; Thomas Bravo. Survivors include her children; Elvia Benitez and her husband, Miguel, Jovita Fajardo and her husband, Gregorio, Rosa, Pete, Placido, Virginia, Albert, Robert, Lupe, Martha, Esther, Thomas, Tony, Albert, Josie and Ramona, granddaughter; Yareili Rojas and her husband, Israel and their children Israel Rojas, Jr., Alexander Rojas and Isabella Rojas, granddaughter; Brenda Benitez and her husband, George and their children Yasbeili Garcia, Jayzliene Garcia, Julian Garcia and Eliana Garcia, granddaughter; Cristal Montes and her husband, Oscar and their children Jocelyn Motes and Jayden Montes, grandson; Osvaldo Bravo and his wife, Cheyene and their daughter Jackielynn, grandson: grandson; Irving Velazquez, Jr. and his wife, Ashley and their child Adelina Velazquez to be born in April, Grandsons; Thomas Velazquez and Ayden Velazquez and granddaughters; Dyana Velzaquez and Alyana Fajardo.

Pallbearers include Osvaldo Bravo, Irving Velazquez, Jr., Thomas Velazquez, Ayden Velazquez, Israel Rojas, Jr. and Alexander Rojas. Honorary pallbearers will be Julian Garcia and Jayden Montes.

Services to honor Susana's life will be held at Adams Funeral Home, located at 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, Texas. Visitation is scheduled for January 2, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 311 Oaks Street, Marlin, Texas, on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 am. Susana will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 830 Avenue E. in Rosebud.

A great mother, wife, grandma, sister, and friend, Susana will be missed but never forgotten.
