Adeline Lillian Smith

Adeline Lillian Smith passed away peacefully with both of her sons holding her hands. She is survived by her sons Steve J. Smith Sr. (Sarah) and Ben P. Smith (Karen). Grandmother of Victoria M. Smith, Steve J. Smith, Jr. (Brittany), Ethan P. Smith and Daisy S. Guernsey (Scotty). Great Grandmother to Anthony Smith, Nicholas Smith-Wuertz, Lillian Smith-Wuretz; Steve III, Rayden and Daniel Smith. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her whole world.

To her beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, Nanny/Auntie loved you all very much and adored her close and loving relationship with each of you.

To her beloved friends with the Daughters of St. Joachim, you have each enriched her life.

She is also survived by many dear, dear friends.

Adeline is preceded in death by her husband Clayton "Smitty" H. Smith, her father and mother Henry and Dolly Scioneaux, her brothers Henry and Harry Scioneaux and her sister Rose Mary S. Creppel.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the staff in the ICU department of Medical City of Denton,Texas and the staff at Trio Hospice for their compassion and care.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services being held at St. Joachim Catholic Church located at 5505 Barataria Boulevard in Marrero, LA. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00AM.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 until Mass time.
