Alice B. Griffin died on Friday, March 30 at the age of 91 at Wynhoven Health Care. She was a native of Lockport, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA for many years. Ms. Griffin is survived by her two beloved sisters, Bella Foret and Winnie Munch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Maria Barrios Griffin, as well as one sister, Enola Barrios, and two brothers Junius and Freddie Griffin. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews. Ms. Griffin was a member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego, LA and the Westwego Council on Aging.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin on Monday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and continue from 9:00 AM on Tuesday until the Mass. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.
