Audry Margaret Laurent

Audry Margaret Laurent entered peacefully into heaven on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care in New Orleans, Louisiana. Daughter of the late Laure Hymel Laurent and Alcide S. Laurent, Sr. Sister of Harold Laurent and preceded in death by her sisters and brothers; Alcide Laurent, Jr., Sebastian Laurent, Sidney Laurent, Rita L. Zeringue, Sister Ursula Laurent, O.S.B. and Julius Laurent. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 78, a native of Taft, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. She worked for Charity Hospital in the Food Service Department for 26 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed social gatherings, attending church, traveling and mostly spending time with family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care for their patience and compassionate care given to Ms. Audry though out the years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Chapel, 5600 General DeGaulle Dr., New Orleans, Louisiana 70131 on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm with visitation from 12:00 pm until Mass time. Internment following in Holy Rosary, River Road, Taft, Louisiana. Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, Louisiana in charge of the funeral arrangements.
