Barbara L. Burns, aged 74 passed away peacefully December 1, 2016. She was born and reared in Boaz, AL to the late John and Cindy Gaskin. She settled in Bridge City with her husband and children for over 35 years. Barbara retired from Golden Cleaners where she worked for over 27 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Henry Burns; sons, Charles “Alvin” Burns, Berry “Wayne” Burns, and Anthony L. (Rachael) Burns; grandchildren, Melba Bonck, Mark Burns, Madyson Burns, Josee Torres and Mason Burns; great-grandchildren, Bryce Fann, Gage Marroy, Jaden Burns, and Bailey Bonck; siblings, Judy Gaskin, Danny (Patsy) Gaskin, Regina (Pete deceased) Manning, and John (Cyndy) Gaskin; many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Tommy Gaskin. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service from WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Tuesday evening, December 6, 2016 at 7:00.
