Charles “Charlie” Raymond Champagne entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, September 2, 2016. He is survived by Kristy Hickman Champagne. A loving father of Damian Charles Champagne, Dillon Patrick Champagne and Dominic Eugene Champagne. Son of Trudy LaPrade Champagne and Danny Joseph Champagne, Sr. Brother of Danny Joseph Champagne, Jr. (Lori Stouffle Champagne). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his furry companion Max.
Age 36, a native of Marrero, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana. “Charlie” attended Visitation of Our Lady Catholic School, De La Salle High School and John Ehret High School. He was a Deckhand for Elite Towing Company for many years. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, camping, football (Saints), and mostly spending time with his children, family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA.
