Connie Ann Bourgeois Morales

Connie was born and raised in Westwego, Louisiana, and remained a resident of the Westbank to raise a family of her own. Connie was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, godmother, aunt, and friend. Lester was the love of Connie’s life, as she was his. Their love is nothing short of admirable, and this love proved itself until her last breath. She loved traveling with her Popsie Boy and making memories with her family and friends. Connie loved keeping her Facebook friends updated – either with a good morning coffee post at Shady Oaks Bed & Breakfast or bragging about her children and grandchildren. Being a mother was one of her greatest joys and being a grandmother to whom she called “Her Hearts” filled her heart more than she could imagine. She was spunky, passionate, and she loved like no other. She always made everyone she met feel like family. Connie used to say, “Good Things Come in Small Packages,” and this could not have been truer about her. There are not enough words to express how special Connie was and how greatly she will be missed. Whether you knew her your whole life or for just a few minutes, she left a lasting effect.

Connie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lester Joseph Morales Sr., her children, Melissa M. Hebert and Lester Joseph Morales, Jr. (Kim Vitrano), and her grandchildren, Caroline Eloise, Collin Anthony, Rylee Joseph, and Addison Ann. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lance and Eloise Bourgeois, and her siblings, Jeannie B. McBroom and Gary Bourgeois.

The family is grateful and sends a special thank you for the compassionate care Connie received from the staff of Passages Hospice, both at home and at The Sanctuary in her final days.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023, with visitation from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana.
