She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Jones for over 66 years. Preceded in death by her daughter Mary Etta Jones, as well as her parents, James F. Benson and Evelyn Missouri Benson; her brother, James F. Benson Jr.; and her half brother, Henry Morris Swayze. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was a dedicated home maker for the majority of her life. She and Kenneth loved to go out to eat, sampling different culinary experiences.
A Funeral Service will be held at New Harvest Assembly of God in Monterey, Louisiana on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Acme Cemetery in Acme, Louisiana. Westside Leitz-Eagan is in charge of arrangements.
