Edmond W. Camardelle

Edmond W. Camardelle passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the age of 88. He was born on January 20, 1926 in Westwego, LA. He was a former resident of Grand Isle, LA and most recently Marrero, LA. Edmond is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jacqueline Camardelle.

Father of James Camardelle (Maddie), Edmond Camardelle, Jr. (Stephanie), Deanna Giardina (Sal), Pamela Dufrene (Kerry), Brian Camardelle (Nora), Barry Camardelle, Brad Camardelle (Crystal), Darren Nuccio (Stephanie), Kim Casey (Dale), and Tzysha Kass (Bill). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, his brothers Tillman “Da” Camardelle and Roger Camardelle. Edmond was preceded in death by his first wife, Tillie D. Camardelle; his parents, Norah Camardelle and Maggie Plaisance Camardelle; his brothers Irvin Camardelle, Edward “Du” Camardelle; and his sisters, Doris Guidry and Helene McElwee. The family would like to thank Melissa DeRamus, Dr. Lillibeth Rochon, and staff for the care they provided to Edmond. He was retired from Johns Mansville.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
