Eva Plaisance

Eva Parks Trosclair Plaisance passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the age of 71. She is survived by her second husband, Gideon Plaisance; her mother, Selma Parks; as well as five children, Darlene Gonzalez, Melissa Cantu, Matthew Trosclair Sr., Kent Trosclair Sr., and Tess Dickerson; and two brothers, Gaynard Parks and Rickey Parks. She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Trosclair; her father, Norman Parks, Sr.; one child, Danny Trosclair; and one brother, Norman Parks, Jr. She is also survived by three sons-in-law, Frank Gonzalez Pedro Cantu Sr., and Michael Dickerson; two daughters-in-law, Christina Trosclair and Jacqueline Trosclair; fifteen grandchildren, Corey Gonzalez, Jason Gonzalez, Joe Gonzalez, Brian Gonzalez, Michele Cantu, Crystal Speed, Pedro Cantu Jr., Stacey Ribbing, Matthew Trosclair Jr., Kayla Comardelle, Kent Trosclair Jr., Katie Jo Barrera, Michael Cortez, Danny Cortez, and Joshua Cortez; two brothers-in-law, Jacob Plaisance and Nathan Boudreaux; three sisters-in-law, Ethel Mcalister, Rita Rose Boudreaux, and Verly Borris; as well as 26 great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
