James Curtis Rochefort (Jimmy), age 67, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away on Friday, October 7th, 2022. Jimmy is preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Rachel Marie Rochefort, and his parents Teless and Sarah Rochefort. He is survived by his two children, Christopher Rochefort Sr. (Monica) and Jennifer Rochefort Murphy (Brandon). Grandfather of Christopher Jr. and Jurnee Marie Rochefort, Alison and Oliver Murphy, Kayla and Koby Bellanger. Brother of Betty Dufrene, Loraine Strickland, Susie, Freddie, John, Eddie, Ollie, Willie, Allen, Ronnie and Tim Rochefort. Jimmy is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Jimmy was an electrician for Avondale Shipyard for 37 years. He loved his wife, children, grand babies, wrestling, crossword puzzles, solitaire, cigarettes and his beer. He will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held for Jimmy at 2:30PM on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at Faith Temple Church of God, 800 S. Jamie Boulevard in Avondale, Louisiana.
