James Joseph Sievers II

He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta Virgie Sievers for over 57 years. Father of Matthew Sievers, Mark Sievers (Jenny), and Julie Gauthreaux (Murphy). Grandfather of Michael Sievers (Sara), Emma Sander, Olivia Sander, Claire Sievers, Stephanie Gauthreaux (Robbie), Anthony Gauthreaux, and Ian Gauthreaux. Great grandfather of Ronan Sievers, Blake Daniels and Zoie Daniels. Son of the late James F. Sievers and Blanche M. Sievers. Brother of Helen Bourgeois and the late Patricia Smith. Companion of Janet Olsen.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, as well as raising chickens and parakeets. He was a good provider and family man, taking his children hunting and fishing. He was retired as a member of Local 60, the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union. He was always willing to lend a listening ear and give sound advice.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM.
