John Palermo

John Joseph Palermo passed away on March 18, 2011 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Helen Mae Leblanc Palermo for 55 years. Son of the late Santo Palermo and Leoader Collins. Brother of the late William T. Collins. Brother in Law of the late Ursula and Louis Brune and Audrey and William Black. Devoted uncle of Gayle Walter (Joey) of Ponchatoula, Regina Baillio of Isabel, and Wiley Black (Leslie) of Montana, the late Helen Sellers (Bobby) and William (Billy) Black, as well as 8 great nieces and nephews and 12 great great nieces and nephews, and his beloved son, Glacier. Adopted uncle of Denise and Chuck Ducote. Second cousin of the wonderful, big Italian family, including Fr. Joseph, Mary, John and Robert Palermo, children of the late Joseph and Joyce Palermo, also Gayle Palermo. Johnny worked for Sunshine Biscuit Company for 27 years and New Orleans Towers for 16 years. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and resume on Monday at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Roch #1. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
