Judy Mary Rivero

Mrs. Judy Mary Rivero passed away in her home in Jayess, MS on February 25, 2021 at the age of 77. She was born January 10, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana and resided in Marrero, Louisiana throughout most of her life until she became a resident of Jayess, MS. She was well known and loved in the marine towing industry where she and her husband, Gleason Rivero, Sr., operated Neighbor Marine Company until retirement. Mrs. Rivero will be remembered by her many friends and family for her love of family, generosity, and assistance in helping those in need. She is preceded in death by her Husband of 53 years, Gleason P. Rivero, Sr.; Father, Walther Gendron, Sr; Sister, Darnell Rivet (Lee); and, Brother, Walther Gendron, Jr. (Malvina Ann). She is survived by her Mother, Shirley Gendron; Son, Gleason Rivero, Jr. (Judy), Daughter, Donna Billiot (Hilton), Son, Mark Rivero (Nicholas Zalimeni); Sister, Linda Plaisance (Nilton), Brother, Barry Gendron (Barbara); 11 Grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Donald), Stephanie Clark (Gary), Chaz Chaisson, Noel Jett (Brad), Kortney Piatchek (Peter), George Bei, Britteny Granger (Austin), Justin Billiot, Logan Billiot, Brett Busiere, and, Blake Billiot (Brittany); and, 16 Great-Grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Judy Rivero, will be held March 3, 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA 70072. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association in memory of Mrs. Rivero.
