

She is survived by her children: Marie Fazende (Charlie), Betty Gauthreaux, Clayton Gauthreaux (Ann Marie), Karen LaChute, Daniel Gauthreaux (Angelia), and Ronald Gauthreaux; grandchildren: Chris Fazende (Sian), Yvette LaChute, Jason Fazende (Ana), Kimberly Foster, Crystal Gauthreaux, Sarah Gauthreaux, Daniel Gauthreaux, Dorina Gauthreaux (Matthew Vercher), Kayla Ursin (Jerry), Samantha Delahoussaye, Avery Delahoussaye, Andrea Gauthreaux, and April Gauthreaux; 18 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her children, Kelvin Gauthreaux and Lisa Gauthreaux Delahoussaye; son-in-law, Samuel LaChute, Jr.; former spouse, Nedas J. “Ned” Gauthreaux; father, William Ed Decker, Sr.; mother, Maude Robatham Decker; brothers, William Ed Decker, Jr. and Clarence Decker; and sisters, Forest Cook, Inez Santangelo, Audrey DiFulco, Noel Ory, and Shirley McAdams.
June was a graduate of L. E. Rabouin High School and retired from Shirley Johnson Gretna Park. She was resident of Gretna, LA for over 70 years. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing bingo and card games, going to parades, and enjoying a Sunday afternoon at Boomtown. June was a devout Catholic who attended church regularly and a long-time member of Archbishop Blenk Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very devoted family person who loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 6pm until 9pm and Friday, May 9, 2025, from 9am until 11am with a Funeral Mass following in the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero.
