

Mr. Lawrence P. Kraemer, an avid sports fan who loved to watch LSU and the Saints, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 14, 2010 in Lafitte at the age of 66. Beloved husband of 47 years to Deanna Trosclair Kraemer. A wonderful and loving father to Paula Gros, and Shane R. Kraemer (recently retired after serving 20 years in the USMC) of whom he was very proud; his wonderful son-in-law, John A. Gros, III (Johnny) and daughter-in-law, Kerri Lamb Kraemer of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; loving grandfather to his devoted grandson, John A. Gros, IV, of whom he was very proud, and his faithful companion, Precious, who was always by his side, even in death. Son of Mable Rodrigue Fank, and the late Wilbur Kraemer. Devoted friend and step-son of Joseph Fank; son-in-law of Laura Trosclair and the late S. Joseph Trosclair. Brother of Louis (Buddy) Kraemer (wife, Elizabeth) of Vacherie, and Verina (Denny) Bourg (husband, Terry) of Hahnville. Brother-in-law of Joseph and Sarah Trosclair, Alice and Emile Trosclair Cloutet, Brenda and Neil Melancon, Ronald (Ronnie) and Valerie Trosclair, Marie Trosclair and the late Gilbert A. Trosclair. Godfather of Eddie Kraemer, Giavonna Bourg, and the late Ricardo Kraemer. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A native of Westwego and a resident of Harvey for 39 years. After retiring from Avondale Shipyards in 1998, he took pleasure in fishing in Lafitte and Barataria Bay with his good friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, along with members of JPRD Golden Age Clubs, Jazzy Red Hatters, Lafitte Senior Center, JPAS, American Legion Auxiliary Post 206, West Jeff Bosom Buddies and employees of Avondale Shipyards, Chevron Oronite, USW Local 13-447, Jefferson Parish Inspection and Code Enforcement, and the Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans (CAGNO) are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM at which time a Mass will be held in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego, LA.
