

Lindsey P. Grabert, Sr., passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23rd, 2013. He was 80. Son of Harris J. Grabert, Sr. of Raceland and Edna P. Grabert of Houma. Brother of Zona Darcey of Houma, Violet Dupre of Houma, the late Annabell Pelegrin of Houma, the late Bell Labit of Houma, the late Lionel Grabert of Houma, the late Florence Brunet of Houma, Floyd Grabert of Mount Hermon, Vivian Giroir of New Iberia, the late Harris Grabert of Houma, and Pearl Moss of Houma. Father of Charlene Schoenberger of Plattsburg, Missouri, the late Lindsey Grabert, Jr. of Harvey, Beverly Grabert of Marrero, the late Wayne Grabert of Marrero, Susan Carver of Waggaman, Billy Lee of Carriere, Mississippi, and the late Brenda Pitre of Marrero. Also survived by 19 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren. He was a native of Houma, and resident of Marrero for the majority of his life. He was quite the character, and enjoyed cooking and dancing, and always lived life to the fullest. He was member of the Terrytown Golden Ages and Good Timers Jamaican Dance Club. He was the best dad you could ask for. “Was in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and worked in the oil field for 40 years. Loved to dance and have fun. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Tuesday Afternoon, May 28th, 2013 at 1:30. Visitation will be held on Monday Evening from 6:00 until 10:00 and resuming Tuesday Morning from 9:00 until service time. Interment will follow in Restlawn Park, Avondale.
