Marie Ann Lee

She was a lifelong resident of Gretna. The beloved mother of two sons, Ronald J Whitney Jr. and the late Dennis J Ziegler. Also, at the age of 43, she became mother to then, 6 mo. old niece Cassandra M Stein whom she lovingly raised as her daughter. She was also grandmother of Michelle, Stacie, Aaron, Deven, Skyler, Charlie Marie, Nicholas and Noah. Great grandmother of Kayla, Julia, Jake and Tyson. Great great grandmother of Mila. Sister of the late Charles Stein and the late Rita Stone. Daughter of the late Clovina Alonzo and the late Charles Stern. She also acted as a mother to her niece Clovina Stein and nephews Daniel and Toby Stein. She was loved by them like a mother. To many she was known simply as Aunt Marie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving family friends. If you knew her you knew a lady, her love and generosity was boundless and felt by everyone. She loved her family, playing poker was one of her favorite pass times, she loved to travel, climbed mountains in her 50’s,

Parasailed in her 70’s and drove until she was 90. She never missed a chance to live her life. She will surely be missed and loved, until we meet again.
