

Melanie Anne Boudreaux entered into Eternal life on Monday, January 31th, 2022 at the age of 61. Melanie was born July 19, 1960 in Marrero, Louisiana to the late Nolan and Gail Hebert. Loving wife of Dudley J. Boudreaux, Jr. for 43 years. Devoted and loving mother of Casie L. Boudreaux and Denise Cooley (Barron). Great Nanny Mel to Hailey Boudreaux and Brendon Cooley. Sister of Mark Anthony Hebert (Trina), and the late Mark Joseph Hebert. Loving aunt of Arden and Bain Hebert. Sister In Law and best friend to Sharon A. Guidry. Daughter In Law of the late Dudley and Lydia Boudreaux, Sr. Mel is survived by her aunts Carolyn Gump and Fay Orgeron. Mel is also survived by other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Mel was employed with First Bank and Trust in Harvey, Louisiana as a Mortgage Loan Originator. Mel was very dedicated to her clients and her agents, and took pride in helping everyone achieve their goal of purchasing a home. She enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling, shopping, working, and crawfish boils. Mel especially loved travelling to New York, which was her favorite travel spot. Mel's personality lit up a room, and her smile was contagious as well as her laughter. She never knew a stranger and considered everyone a friend. Mel will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know, love, and be loved by her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, February 7th, 2022 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. The visitation will continue on Monday morning beginning at 8:00AM. Mel will be interred at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
