Nicky was the son of Sylvia M. Bourgeois and the late Joseph "Jr." Provenzano; brother of Sandy P. Trupiano (Frank) and Mary Kay P. Caiado (Edward); uncle of Christina Trupiano, Mia Trupiano, Caitlin C. Idiaquez, and Chaz Caiado; great uncle of Marion Green, Caprianna Idiaquez, Carson Caiado, and Angelo Idiaquez. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Nicky graduated from River Oaks High School in Belle Chasse. He worked in the food industry. He was a "foodie" by nature and enjoyed cooking and culinary topics. Nicky was an avid football fan. He was an encyclopedia on all football related topics, especially for the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow the Mass at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Kidney Fund (Kidneyfund.org/ways-give)
