Richard David Fremin Sr.

He was the beloved husband of the late Deborah Ann Hughes Fremin for 35 years; father of Stacy Ann Fremin (Steve) and Richard David Fremin, Jr. (Lorraine); grandfather of Holly Talley (Mike), Richard Burleigh (Ciara), Joshua Fremin (Cassidy), Jordan Nelson (Lindsey), and Tyler Fremin; great grandfather of Kyle Burleigh, Colton Plaisance, Elena Burleigh, and Mabel Tally; son of the late Florence H. and Glynn S. Fremin, Sr.; brother of Robert P. Fremin (Shirley), as well as the late Glynn S. Fremin, Jr., Patrick J. Fremin, and Connie L. Fremin. Godfather of Keri Fremin Eschete (Marty) and Rosalind Ann Fremin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, especially his cousin and best friend, Mike Helmstetter.

He was a loving father and family man, especially for his grandchildren. He served his country in the US Army including serving as a sharpshooter in Vietnam. He was an avid reader and a master Solitaire player.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA at 9:30AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until Service Time and will resume until 11:00 AM.
