

He was baptized at Notre Dame Catholic Church. He accepted Christ at a young age. Robert graduated from Carver High School in St. John, La, and moved to New Orleans in 1965. He then worked for Reliable Battery. For over thirty years he was self-employed. Robert loved to cook, dance, and travel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Samuel Cole, Alvin Cole, and Joe Cole. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Wanda Cole; one son Searle Cole (Tasha); two daughters Betty Cole and Melissa Cole Holmes (Derrick); twelve grandchildren Joseph Cole (Raven), Latarua Cole Morris (Charles), Demesheun Lee, Seaera Cole, Jamie Chester, Abrial Cole, James Cole, Delorise Chester, Derrick Holmes, Jr., Keaera Holmes, Meliyah Holmes, Searle Cole, Jr., and Ch-ydia Cole; seven great-grandchildren Joseph Jr., Jayshawn, Trevon, Pashia, Sencer, Maryia; one brother Calvin Cole (Betty); four sisters Margaret Williams (Rev. John), Geraldine Robinson, Julia Menard (Edward), Delores Cole; sisters-in-law Julia Cole Davis (Alvin), Eula Mae Cole (Sam); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Cole immediately following in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana.
