Robert Clyde Mitchell passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the age of 76, after a short battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of the late Sandra K. Mitchell. Son of the late Robert W. Mitchell and Winifred Mitchell, brother of Ron Mitchell (Hope) and Cathy Schneller (Rudy).
Father of Robert W. Mitchell (Dawn), Patricia Becnel, and Nancy Doresy, as well as grandfather of Michelle N. Young (Andy), Kayla L. Mitchell, the late Robert W Mitchell Jr, OJ Becnel, Baylen Becnel, Ryan Blair, Taime Blair, Kyle Dorsey, Clinton Hahnebohm, and Michael Hahnebohm. Great grandfather to Kiko J Young and GT Young. He was a veteran of the US Army, who went on to graduate from Loyola University of New Orleans as a Chemical Engineer. He worked for over 25 years in the Amax Nickel Plant.
