Robert Carmel Taylor Jr.

Robert Carmel Taylor Jr., age 77, of Westwego, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Robert was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Robert C. Taylor Sr. and Edna M. Miley Taylor. Devoted father of his only son Frank H. Taylor (Rhonda). Step father of the late Dewayne "Steve" Williams (Amy). Proud grandfather of Zack Blache', Bobby Cummings, Shalane Mayeux (Paul), Dalane Prestenbach (Leslie), Earnest Fontenot (Whitney), Ashley Williams, Macey Williams, and Frankie Williams. Brother of Sylvia Felts and Cathy Gaiennie. Uncle of Brandy Culwell, Veronica Frechou, Sabrina Galloway, Christopher Cotton, and Warren Gaiennie III. Robert is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Robert was an avid pool player, and was the number one referee for the American Pool Association. He loved to take cruises, hunt deer, and travel. He loved to spend his free time with his loving family and many friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 11:00AM and continue until the service time.
