

Roddis was born on March 11, 1936 in Liberty, Mississippi to the proud parents of Roddis Harrell and Annabel Harrell Simmons
He moved to Louisiana and attended Booker T. Washington High School. His impeccable skills and thirst for being, gained him much knowledge as a laborer who would not stop at anything. He was a business man, owning his own trucking service. He provided services for Boh Brothers and Jenkie. He was a man of strength and honor. A proud man who never stopped until he was satisfied.
He leaves to cherish his heartfelt memories, his devoted wife, Helen Quinn Harrell of 62 plus years, Nine (9) children, Archie Harrell, Carol Ann Harrell Johnson (Alvin), Jerry Harrell, Catherine Harrell Premillion (David), Riley Harrell, Cheryl Denise Harrell, Patricia Ann Harrell, Deatral Lynell Harrell, Darryl Leonard Harrell. Brother of Percy Harrell, many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Shilo Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th St., Westwego, LA, on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Visitation from 9:00 AM until Funeral time. Interment following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave., New Orleans, LA.
