Ms. Shirley Booth

Shirley Dufrene Booth entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 3, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence R. Booth, Sr., the loving mother of GayLynn Booth Kreger (Joseph) and Lawrence R. Booth, Jr. (Josett), the devoted grandmother of Joey Kreger, Jr. (Carly), Lauren K. Bourg (Dustin), Lawrence R. Booth, III and Edward M. Booth as well as the great-grandmother of Demi, Joseph, Gracie, Dustin, Julian and Haidyn. She was the daughter of the late Vincent Dufrene and Clothile Frickey Dufrene and the sister of Rita Cole, Irma Gros, Esther Mayfield, Vivian Curole, Elliot, Melvin Dufrene, Carroll Dufrene, the late Gail Michel and the late Audrey Soileau. She was preceded in death by her companion, the late Julian “Pete” Cobert. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Monday, November 7, 2011 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Blvd, Lafitte, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and will last until 12:00 PM at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church. Burial will then follow in St. Pius X Mausoleum in Crown Point, LA.
