Shirley Mae Fabre Pizani Machella passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday morning, October 21, 2015. She was 80 years old. Beloved wife of the late Calvin Pizani Sr. by first marriage, and James Machella Sr. by second marriage. Loving mother of Lethia Pizani, Myron “Goo” Pizani Sr. (Arleen), Calvin “C.J.” Pizani Jr. (Allison), James Machella Jr., and Jerri M. Serpas (C.J.). Grandmother of Raven Moore, Darrah Caplain, Myron “Ron” Pizani Jr., Dane Pizani, Hayley Otero, Calvin “C.J.” Pizani III, James Machella III, Amber Machella, Maddie Desport, Whitney Serpas, and Fallon Serpas. Great-grandmother of Liam, Evi, Izaac, Aiden, Cohen, Mason, Kaiden, Hayes, Rylee, Calee, Landen, Jamie Sue, Amelia, Paul, and Aria Rose. Sister of the late Mary Ann Adams and Augusta Lepine. Daughter of the late Whitney and Augusta Fabre. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was a native and lifelong resident of Barataria. She loved Bingo, Pokeno, Playing Cards, and the Casino, but most of all loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Relative and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Monday morning, October 26, 2015. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 10:00, resuming on Monday morning at 8:00. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna.
