

She was married in 1954 to Nathan Plaisance. Together they raised four children, Joey J. Plaisance, Chris G. Plaisance, Amy P. Ricks, and the late Brad A. Plaisance. Grandmother of the late Branden J. Plaisance, Jennifer P. Kessler (Nick), Lauren R. St.Pierre (Craig), Brandi A. Plaisance, Eric J. Plaisance, Leigh-Anne J. Thomassie (Dalton), and Breigh-Anne J. Rihner (Ryan). Proud Grammy of Gabriel, Aria, Grant, Zeek, Nathaniel, Ryan Jr., Lydia, Owen, Octavia, Sage and Isabella. Daughter of the late Justilien J. Faucheaux and Elma Arcement Faucheaux. Sister of the late Thelma M. Faucha, Nolan J. Faucheaux, Faith F. Breaux, Floyd J. Faucha, Gerald P. Faucha, and Betty F. LeBlanc. She is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who miss her dearly.
She was the Drum Majorette at Raceland High School. She spent most of her life as a dedicated housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a gifted seamstress, who also loved cooking and baking. She also loved being out in nature. Her greatest love was her Lord, as she was a very devout Catholic.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at her church, Visitation of Our Lady, on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 12:30 PM. A visitation will begin 11:00 AM, and the Rosary will be at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.
