

On Friday, February 16, 2018, Tara Farve, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister passed away peacefully at the age of 45 years. Tara was born on March 29, 1972, in Marrero, Louisiana to Doris Billiot and the late Ivar Silnieks. A native of Lafitte, Louisiana, Tara attended West Jefferson High School. She was a lovely homemaker, full-time house wife, mother and grandmother. Tara truly enjoyed the simple things in her life such as spending time with her husband, being silly with her children, soaking up the sun at the pool with her family and taking pictures and going shopping with her grandchild. Tara always had the special ability to light up the room with her smile and fill the air with her laughter and joy. Tara will be forever remembered by her husband, children, grandchild, family and friends. Tara is survived by her husband of 22 years, Raymond Farve, Sr., daughters; Lydia Thompson, Raquel Farve and son; Raymond Farve, Jr. A proud grandmother of Reese Lambert and Godson; Destin Fontenot, mother; Doris Billiou and brother; James Greer and Shaun Sims, sister; Tammy Greer and also her extended family; Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father; Ivar Silnieks, her brother; Patrick Sims, mother-in-law; Joanne Farve, father-in-law; Leroy Farve and best friend; Shelly Lawson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Tara’s life at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 11:00 am.
