Wanda Faye Barrios

She was the beloved wife of Hubert Barrios for over 60 years; Mother of Troy Barrios (Amy) and Karen Nelson (Jason), as well as the late Paul Barrios, who died on the same day, 28 years earlier; grandmother of Heather, Gavin, Collin, Kaylin, and Luke; great grandmother of Trey; daughter of the late Clarence and Hettie Hazelwood; sister of Gary (Romaine) and Wayne (Cheryl); sister-in-law of Bobby Barrios. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

She worked for Jefferson Parish School System for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Compassus for their amazing care, especially Gayle Polite and Angel Hill, and her sitters, Lynn Breaux and Kitty Rando.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 8:30 AM.
