Anne was born and raised in New York City. She married Joseph Pomper in 1947 and raised two children, Sidney and Leah, in Linden and Berkeley Heights, NJ. Anne had a career she loved, working as a Legal Assistant for Coudert Brothers, an international law firm in New York City. Outside of work, she was an active volunteer for numerous community organizations and an avid gardener.
Anne loved travel and getting to know people in different cultures, and after retirement, she enjoyed living near her children and their families. She and her husband lived abroad in Israel for six years to be with her daughter and family, and later moved to Augusta, Ga when Leah and her husband worked in America for an extended time. Anne and Joe also lived near their son and his family in Berwyn, Pennsylvania and later in Marlborough and Falmouth, Massachusetts. They were happily married for 60 years before Joe’s death at the age of 88. Anne loved her family above all and relished sharing every school, sport, and cultural event with her grandchildren, and she was fortunate enough to get know and be loved by seven great-grandchildren.
Anne is survived by her son Sidney, daughter Leah, daughter-in-law Terry, son-in-law Charlie; grandchildren, Hilah, Ayal, Kate and Steven and their spouses Yizhar, Yfat, Jack and Blair; and great-grandchildren, Noam, Niv, Shira, Ziv, Elise, James and Vivian. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
