Anne T Schneider

Mrs. Schneider was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Her family describes her as a “minyan mom”. Everyone that knew her called her “Aunt Annie”. She and her husband owned Schneider’s Music Center in Augusta, GA for many years. Mrs. Schneider was a life-long member of the Adas Yeshurun Synagogue where she was always in charge of the functions, including preparing the food and being a bookkeeper. She won the Woman of the Year Award in 1970 at the Adas Yeshurun Synagogue. She also won the Leadership Award in 1985-1986 from the Augusta Jewish Federation. During World War II Mrs. Schneider cooked many meals of hospitality for the soldiers stationed at Fort Gordon.

Mrs. Schneider is preceded in death by her husband, Abe Schneider. Survivors include her children, Ira Schneider (Barbara), Donna Smith (Joel) and Tina Weinstein (Jack); grandchildren, Jeffery, Ivan, Adam, Caryn, Mindy, Samuel, Greg, Harris and Stephanie; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to show their appreciation and gratitude to Mrs. Schneider’s caregivers, Ardreamer, Lois, Gloria, Betty and Johnnie Mae.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Adas Yeshurun Synagogue with Rabbi David Sirull officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, GA.

Pall bearers who will honor Mrs. Schneider are, Jack Weinstein, Ivan Smith, Samuel Chronic, Allan Tanenbaum, Ronnie Daitch, Joseph Levy, Martin Tanenbaum, Stephen Levy, Marc Oppenheimer and Aaron Tanenbaum.

Honorary pall bearers will be Sonny Levy, Joel Smith, Al Zaharia, Greg Weinstein, Harris Weinstein and Bernie Edwards.
