Mrs. Tapley was a member of Freedom Bible Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, which she did every day. She worked for Gracewood in Augusta, GA and also worked at the Columbia County Senior Center in Columbia County.
Mrs. Tapley is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Tapley; son, Jeffrey Tapley; and daughter, Kathy Janet Tapley Toole. Survivors include her children, Diane Jennings (Virgil) and Danny Tapley (JoAnn); grandchildren, Janet Wheatley (Scott), Jennifer Powell (Jason), Jason Tapley, Jessica Pozdoll (Jared), Matthew Tapley (Christi); and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19, the funeral home will be following all CDC guidelines at this time.
