Mrs. Norton was the first baby girl to be born at St. Joseph Hospital to the late Ralph and Ola Elizabeth Boyd. She was a 1971 graduate of Butler High School where she met her husband, Charles Norton. She and her husband owned a Hot Air Balloon Company in Augusta and her photography was- featured in several different magazines where she won multiple awards. In her spare time she enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
Mrs. Norton is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charles Norton; son, Jason Norton (Jennifer); sister, Wanda Duffie (Gene); and grandson, Justin Fox Norton.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers who will honor Mrs. Norton will be Gene Herrin, David Tabb, John Rushing, Rich Rogers and Wayman Stewart.
