

Diane was born on August 13, 1941, in Bell, California. She grew up 15 steps from the ocean in Manhattan Beach, California, and moved to Long Beach, California, when she was 13. She graduated from Millikan High School in 1959 where she was a Majorette and on the synchronized swim team.
She met her husband, George, in 1959, while they were both working at a department store in Long Beach. They were married in 1960. They later lived in Reno, Nevada, and Conyers, Georgia, retiring in Evans, Georgia in 1997.
Diane and George were avid travelers and campers who loved to visit national parks and many other places across the country, especially if there was a lighthouse to see. She loved the beach.
She was actively involved at Warren Baptist Church with the Children’s Ministry, where she was a 5th grade facilitator for nearly 25 years. She was also involved in missions, serving on a mission trip to East London, South Africa.
Diane loved her grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with them.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years George Rodgers, her parents Albert Bailey and Donna Cieslak, and her brother Larry Bailey.
She is survived by her son Scott Rodgers (Anu) from Hayward, California, and her daughter Trish Allen from Evans, Georgia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelsey Allen from Graniteville, South Carolina, Nick Allen (Caitlin) from Charleston, South Carolina, Harpreet Shahi (Jenna) from San Leandro, California, and Muskan Shahi (Sandeep) from Hayward, California, and her great-grandchildren Lilah and Arnaaz. She is also survived by her brother Ed Bailey (Fran) from San Juan Capistrano, California. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in the Chapel of Warren Baptist Church on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m.
