Mr. Floyd G. Strausser Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Columbia Rd.

Mr. Strausser was a native of Baltimore Maryland but has lived in the Augusta area for many years. He was an Army Veteran with 22 years of service. He enlisted in 1958 and retired in 1979. He served one tour in Korea and four tours in Vietnam. After he retired from the Army he worked for the Southern Company until he retired, and then started his own business. Mr. Strausser enjoyed playing golf and Bowling.

Mr. Strausser was preceded in death by parents, Floyd G. Strausser Sr. and Mary Agnes Strausser, and by his son Floyd G. Strausser III. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Rose M. (Bruce) Laprade, Franklin D. (Tammy) Strausser Sr., and Kathleen A. (Charles) Ferguson. His grandchildren, Iain Laprade, Olivia Laprade, Franklin D. Strausser Jr., Caleb Strausser, Daniel Strausser and Caitlyn Ferguson, and his Siblings, Kenny, Frank And Verna Strausser.
