George Wesley Posey

Beloved by those who knew him, George was hard-working, honest, and loyal in all he did. He enjoyed gardening and walking outdoors. He would often spend time doing sudoku puzzles and watching sports on tv. He was a civil engineer by profession and by nature, he approached life with care, precision, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

George was a resident of Grovetown, Georgia. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched through his integrity, dependability, and unwavering character.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Raymond Posey; his siblings, Nancy Posey Brown, Edna Posey Slaton, John Franklin Posey, Margaret Posey McAlister and Jerry Clayton Posey.

George is survived by his wife, Ok Sun Posey; his stepdaughter, Hyon Sun Ko (Peter); and his grandson Harrison.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10:30 am until 11:30 am at Elliott Sons Funeral Home at 4255 Columbia Rd Martinez, GA 30907. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am in the chapel.

George will be laid to rest at 2:30 pm at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 2617 Vinson Hwy Milledgeville, GA 31061.
