Mrs. Sams was a native of Chicago, but had lived in the McCormick area for many years. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. Mrs. Gloria wore many different hats throughout her life, she was a ballet tap & jazz instructor, a cosmetologist, sold restate and was an executive secretary.
Mrs. Sams was preceded in death by a grandson, Kellen Sams; Survivors include her children, Gary Sams, Pam Clark, John Sams, Robyn Nowlin & Scott Sams. Her grandchildren, Connor Sams, Chealsey Sams, Justin Nowlin, Hayley Nowlin, Landon Clark, Hannah Clark. Her step-grandchildren, Lisa Monahan, Jason Monahan. Her Great-grandchild, Skylyn Wright, and her sister, Georgia Kirby.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
