

Mrs. Fagan was born on February 27, 1942 to the late Cuther Elza and Virginia Lee Owen of Lexington, NC. Mrs. Fagan was a dedicated educator impacting the lives of many of her students for over 30 years at the high school and collegiate levels, retiring in 1996 after spending many years on faculty at Augusta Technical Institute as a business instructor. Mrs. Fagan was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, GA and loved participating in weekly Bible studies. In her free time, she also enjoyed traveling, creating artwork, doting on her grandchildren, and was a huge UGA football fan.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fagan is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Fagan. Survivors include her two sons, Jade Christopher Spell (Lori); Jamie Patrick Spell ( Haley); two step-children, Karen Hatch (Brian) and Butch Fagan (Lori); sister, Reeta Duffey; grandchildren, Bethany Spell, Harrison Spell, Caroline Spell, Vivienne Spell, Savannah Hatch Martin, Austin Hatch, Will Fagan and Blake Fagan; great-grandchildren, Elijah Martin and Brandy Leigh Martin; and nephew, Brett Duffey.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, GA. The family will receive all visitors one hour prior to the service at the church.
